In this interview, we learned more about Jay’s start in comedy in college in North Carolina and eventual move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in TV/film. Then he got into the comedy scene via well-known clubs like Flappers and obvs my fav, The Comedy Store in Hollywood. 🔥 Jay was part of the early days of Roast Battle, talks about his experience in Edinburgh Fringe and how he created his own comedy game show. We discussed more about the importance of collaboration, creativity, the migration patterns of comedians to Austin #atx and other comedy scenes, and where San Diego stands in the comedy ecosystem (did you know SD is the 8th largest city in the US?? 👀 thanks for that fun piece of trivia @abnormalnights [I fact checked this, lol]) and so much more!
